San Tan area residents will once again dip, duck, dive, and dodge to raise money for local charity. Dodgeballapalooza 2010, the Paladin Sports Outreach’s annual Charity Dodgeball Tournament, will be held Saturday, August 21st at Barney Family Sports Complex in Queen Creek.
In its second year, this unique San Tan area event has generated quite a buzz in the community. Paladin Sports Outreach believes that Dodgeballapalooza is a unique event with widespread appeal and we are committed to its long-term growth and success. We invite you to join us as we set out to bring our community together through the unlikely but unforgettable game of Dodgeball!
Proceeds from this charity dodgeball tournament will directly benefit the Paladin Sports Outreach Youth Scholarship Fund. This fund provides children of financially disadvantaged families the opportunity to participate in local, organized sports leagues. In addition, a portion of the proceeds will go toward the Homes of Hope project through YWAM Mazatlan.
Registration to the tournament is now open. The registration cost is $20 per player and includes a t-shirt and lunch; teams can consist of 6-10 players. The tournament will be run in a pool-play format with each team being guaranteed at least 3 matches (6 games). This year’s tournament will be split into three (3) divisions, adult competitive (18+), adult recreational (18+) and youth (ages 14-17). Prizes will be awarded to division winners as well as a prize to the “Best Themed” team. More event details and registration forms can be found on our website.
This is a family-friendly event and is open to the public. Spectators are encouraged to attend free of charge. The event will include raffles, food, & entertainment provided by Air1 Radio.
